Hi, my name is Brandon. My wife Laura and I live and work on Kwajalein Atoll in the middle of the Pacific Ocean just 8 degrees above the equator. Laura is from Maryland and I grew up in Alaska. Our work took us to Kwajalein and I met Laura my first night on the island. We quickly became good friends and spent a lot of time together hanging out during our few months working on the island. 

Laura's work took her to Las Vegas and shortly after I returned to Alaska to gather some things and take care of my belongings. I just knew this was the woman that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. So I bought a plane ticket to Las Vegas and called Laura up to tell her I was coming for a visit. Before I made it back to Kwajalein I had flown to Las Vegas twice to visit Laura and she made the trip to Alaska to meet some of my family and hang out with me before I moved even farther away. For the next year we continued our long distance relationship. Spending hours on the phone and visiting one another every chance we got. Over a year later Laura left her job at the Nevada Test Site and was able to find employment on Kwajalein. ...more to come!
